The cassettes uses a traditional construction method, with the biggest 4 steel cogs being pinned to a lightweight aluminium spider, and the 8 remaining cogs being pressed steel. This is cheaper to produce than the one-piece cassettes found in the other Eagle groupsets, but is also incredibly durable, with the steel construction offering incredible wear characteristics. It is also the first Eagle cassette to be fully recommended for use with e-bikes, such is its strength and durability.
